A must-have coffee table book for all Chanel lovers, illustration lovers and fashion lovers!

What a sunny morning! I just received this stunning book of Coco Chanel by fashion illustrator Megan Hess published by Hardie Grant Books. A beautiful designed book in a lovely small size, printed in Chanel's iconic colors black & white with some details in red and gold, interspersed with beautiful designed anecdotes and famous quotes from Coco and a beautiful silver foil stamp on the cover. The book is clearly divided into 3 chapters: The women, The brand, The Legend. 

I read it in one breath, in just a few hours I knew everything and more from Coco Chanel. She is arguably the most significant influence on women’s fashion in the twentieth century, a key designer to not only have captured a moment in fashion history, but to have shaped the fashion landscape in years to come. (I personally love Chanel for as long as I can remember, I even named my dog Coco)

Coco’s World is a compilation of Megan Hess’ stunning illustrations of the 100 most quintessential moments through Chanel’s history, from Coco’s incredible life (her childhood, her influencers, her lovers, het succes), to the impact of Karl Lagerfeld as creative director of the brand, and the incredible items that have become fashion icons – the little black dress, the classic tweed jacket, the luxurious bags, alluring jewellery and, of course, the renowned Chanel No. 5 perfume.
